Who We Are
We are Traffic and Transportation Planning and
Engineering Professionals, led by our principal Dr. Rae J.
Furlonge, and we involve other key stakeholders as
required.
Our Purpose
We are interested in educating the common man to
appreciate the issues involved in traffic and transportation in
order to facilitate decision-making in the implementation of
projects.
Our Principal
Rae Julien Furlonge has over twenty-seven years’ experience as a traffic and transportation engineer, with ten years in central
government, four years in state-owned enterprises and the rest in consulting practice with public- and private- sector entities.
He has undertaken consulting work in Trinidad and Tobago, India, British Virgin Islands, Grenada, Jamaica, and Barbados, in
addition to determining the adequacy of legislation, regulations, enforcement, and organisational arrangements pertaining to
specific traffic and transportation issues for a major financial institution of its eighteen borrowing Caribbean member
countries, including project-related visits to several of them.

Rae has a PhD in Civil Engineering in 1993 from the Indian Institute of Technology at Roorkee in India, from where he has been
an external examiner for PhD candidates since 2008. He continues develop professionally through regular annual attendances
and occasional paper presentations at international technical conferences.  He is a certified Project Management Professional
(PMP), a Fellow the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), a Fellow of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), a
Fellow of the Association of Professional engineers of Trinidad and Tobago (APETT), and a Member of the Association for
European Transport (AET).

Rae has good expertise in the following key professional software: TranCAD 6.0, GIS transportation planning tools, since June
2012; AIMSUN 8, dynamic traffic micro-simulation, and four-stage travel demand modelling tools, since 2006; SIDRA
Intersection 6, intersection and network modelling tools, since 1998; and AutoCAD draughting software, since 2004. He has
special interest in traffic micro-simulation modelling.
